Painting with acrylics, the variance between shadow and light are a recurring theme in all of Fonda's paintings. Bright vivid colors in fluid shapes combine to make many scenes from landscapes, still lifes and portraits.

Currently she lives in Canmore, Alberta, with her husband and daughter. Surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, the atmosphere is ripe for creativity, and Fonda continues to find joy in her art on a daily basis, treating every day as “a painting waiting to be painted”.

Artist's Statement — “I paint for the simple joy of creating something beautiful. It is embarrassingly simple and is what keeps me bouncing out of bed each morning anxious to get at the canvas. There are infinite possibilities for paintings everywhere and the potential for new styles and paintings each day are wonderfully overwhelming. It is a great state to be in.”
